domer03 asked:

For example, Tiger Woods and Roger Federer are similar as far as their dominance in their respective sports. Both are great champions and have the will to win that is second to none. However, Tiger Woods is much more popular than Federer and I’m wondering why you think that is the case.

Some possible answers:
1) Racial background appeals to a more diverse audience.
2) Tiger is American and has a better grasp of the culture.
3) Tiger has more charisma with dealing with fans and the media.

5 Useful Tips to Make Money Blogging With Food Reviews and Ratings
April 16, 2009 at 12:34 am

Popular Food
Bloggeroftheweb Dot Com asked:

Most bloggers love to make money blogging about how to make money online. The interest of blogging has come at a stage where people would blog for anything that concerns about money (example, loan, insurance, credit card) than anything else. Today, I am going to turn the table around and share with you how to blog about food and make money at the same time. Sounds impossible? Read on then.

Most food lovers would usually be interested in food recipes and food reviews. Hence if you focus and write about them well, you can expect some good readership and followers for your blog.

Food Reviews Or Food Recipes?

If you have a great recipe to share, why not just write a blog post on it and share with your fellow readers. However, I would not suggest that you copy a recipe from somewhere and post it, or create a recipe out of your own when you have never try the food yourself. You may drive your readers away consequently. Hence, I would not encourage you to write about food recipes unless you are pretty sure of what you desire to share.

Assuming that you are a food lover, food reviews would be an easier choice and more popular approach since most people love to eat and keen to know where they can find the best food in town. Below are 5 useful tips that you may follow to make money blogging about food (particularly reviews and ratings).

1. Take Good Food Display Photos When Served

Food lovers usually love to see nice photos on the food display when served, follows by the food reviews itself. Food photos taken in very bad environment (eg. poor lighting) would require some Photo-shop skills to “touch up” the photo so that it looks nice and appealing to your readers. With these skills, you will be able to display “mouth-watering” photos to accompany your reviews. Great isn’t it? :)

2. Add Your Profile If You Are A Popular Food Reviewer

If you are a well-known and popular food reviewer, why not add your profile to the homepage of your blog and give yourself an introduction? This would add credential to your blog and your reviews would naturally attract tons of readers due to your influence and popularity.

3. Provide Honest Food Ratings And Reviews

Apart from appealing photos, food lovers love to see ratings and reviews too. Give yourself a range eg. out of 5 stars on how you would rate the food that you have tried. Write your most honest review in short paragraphs. Do not always give nice reviews, remember to mention the bad points too. However, you should always support your criticism with facts.

Tip: Remember! Your first food review is crucial to the success of your food review blog. Be more descriptive and always share your taste well.

4. Keep Your Readers Coming Back. Gather Your Supporters!

Your reader today might be gone for tomorrow. So how to keep them coming back? Well, apart from providing regular food reviews, provide means for them to return too. First, setup an RSS Feed for them to subscribe to your blog just like mine “Subscribe To My RSS”. Whenever you post a new review, they will be notified and read in their own RSS reader. Another way is to create a Twitter account like what I did so that they can be your “follower” and get updates whenever you are reviewing food again.

5. Monetize Your Blog With Adsense

Fastest and easiest way to monetize your blog is to add in Google Adsense ads. Adsense is the best pay-per-click advertising program so far as it rewards well and display ads that are most relevant to your blog content (food reviews). Competitive keywords like “food reviews” or “Spanish Food” will drive tons of visitors to your blog if you work on your SEO well.

What Foods To Eat And Not To Eat For Diabetes?
April 15, 2009 at 10:58 pm

Popular Food
Dr.Eswararamanan VR asked:

If you have been diagnosed with diabetes, there are ways to improve and control the symptoms of your disease. It is very important to find out what to eat and not to eat for diabetes. Scientists report the global rates of Type 2 diabetes are likely to double in the next twenty years. These statistics do not have to happen if we can begin to practice what foods to enjoy and avoid. A diet high in fiber, but low in fat is most often recommended for diabetics. You especially want to stay away from saturated fat and limit the amount of sugar you eat. Saturated fat is animal fat such as butter, and lard. Dairy products high in saturated fat include cream, cheese, meat, and chocolate.

What to eat and not to eat for diabetes:

Bread is a major source of carbohydrates in our diets. Carbohydrate is an valuable source of energy, vitamins, and minerals. It also provides fiber that helps maintain blood sugar levels. Beans, peas, oats, and barley contain this fiber. Whole grain products are the wisest choice because it takes longer for your digestive system to break down. This keeps the body from releasing sudden bursts of sugar. Potatoes, corn, and pasta are also carbohydrates.

Vegetables should be included on your list of what to eat and not to eat for diabetes. Tasty samples to include are spinach, carrots, broccoli, tomatoes, lettuce, cabbage and cucumbers. You should have three to five servings a day, mixing it up, serving both raw and cooked vegetables.

Fruits contain carbohydrates along with natural sugars, so you must be careful indulging in too much. It is a good idea to mix fruit with a protein or before exercise. Make certain the canned fruits you buy are packed in unsweetened fruit juice. Diabetics require two to four servings of fruit everyday.

Milk and other dairy products should be limited due to being high in carbs. Switching to low-fat milk, and unsweetened yogurt will help keep your diabetes in check, and an added bonus of saving calories. Two to three serving of dairy products are your daily requirement.

Protein can be meat or meat substitutes such as peanut butter, tofu, cheese, and eggs. You only require about six ounces of protein a day, broken up over two to three meals. One tablespoon of peanut butter or an egg weighs an ounce. Fish, poultry, beans, and nuts, are sources of protein.

Fats and Sweets are necessary for our bodies but only in moderation. Avocados make a delicious topping in the place of mayonnaise. Making your own dressing avoids the trans-fat in processed foods. Sweets are allowed for many diabetics if the portion size is strictly under control. Sugar free desserts are an option, but remember to take the extra carbs into consideration.

Take control of your diabetes and look into what a balanced diet plan can do for you. An important step is finding out what to eat and what not to eat for diabetes. With the popular food choices of today, our bodies are receiving only twenty percent of the necessary nutrients it craves. This fact is considered by experts to be what is behind the overweight crisis seen in many countries. Taking away from our mid-section could also lessen the appearance in development of adult on set diabetes.

Six Sigma And Design Risk Assessment
April 15, 2009 at 10:48 pm

Tony Jacowski asked:

It is true that the changes are effected by experienced Six Sigma professionals such as Black Belts and Master Black Belts, but this does not guarantee the success of such alterations because each business process is unique and is affected by numerous variable factors that are hard to define. This is why it becomes necessary to conduct a design risk assessment prior to actual implementations to assess whether a suggested change or alteration will produce the desired results or not.

Why To Conduct A Design Risk Assessment?

Conducting a design risk assessment becomes all the more necessary when a completely new business process is being designed and developed for manufacturing a product or for rendering a service. For ensuring the success of a proposed design, it is also necessary to conduct the assessments for all the various sub-parts of the design, no matter how small or irrelevant they might look. This is important because even a seemingly small flaw in the proposed design can have a disastrous affect on the outcome.

If a design is implemented without conducting the assessments, chances are high that problems will start surfacing during the implementation process. This can seriously affect the existing efficiency and can even lead to redundancies that can adversely affect the finances of the organization. For achieving desired and timely results, it is thus important to conduct a design risk assessment prior to the actual implementations.

Tools And Methodologies Utilized For Design Risk Assessments

One of the most commonly utilized tools is PHA (Preliminary Hazard Analysis), which helps in quantitative assessment of potential risks. It allows Six Sigma professionals to point out the potential risks that can be avoided just by making small changes in the existing design. This tool however has limited use, as it cannot be used for predicting risks that can emerge during the implementation stages.

DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) is a popular design risk assessment methodology that is used for measuring the criticality of factors affecting the CTQ (critical to quality) and CTC (critical to customers). The standard FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) can also be utilized for conducting design risk assessments.

Data or results generated through design risk assessment tools and methodologies are then documented and stored for future referrals. They are utilized in combination with inputs provided by employees, senior managers, and Six Sigma professionals for effecting changes in the proposed design.

Thus, we see that design risk assessments help in maintaining the integrity of proposed designs by allowing organizations to make the right alterations at the right time. Implementing Six Sigma projects without conducting design risk assessments will be like betting top dollar on a lame horse.

Are Imitation Wholesale Handbags Better Than Wholesale Designer Inspired Handbags?
April 15, 2009 at 4:56 pm

Vikram Kumar asked:

Most women want to own branded handbags because it gives them a sense of pride. This is because branded handbags are basically expensive. People who see them carrying a particular signature handbag would surely think that they have high profiles since they can afford such brand. In reality however, signature handbags are not just about the cost. It is also about the design or materials used. It is a good thing that there are wholesale designer inspired handbags available for women to choose from. These handbags may not have the original signature or brand of the popular designers but they do have the same style and function as the signature handbags. It's a signature handbag without the actual signature. It only carries the style.

Imitation Vs Inspiration

Since designer handbags contribute to the status of the person, most handbag manufacturers try to imitate its looks so that women are made to believe that they have a high profile. The sad thing about this is that when the people know that the handbag was just an imitation, the pride can turn into an embarrassment.

Wholesale handbags are considered imitations if they carry the brand name but were not originally created by the accredited manufacturer. They are handbags that use the name of the designer when they are not actually made by such designer. The brand was just sewn into it as if it is the actual brand of the handbags.

Wholesale designer inspired handbags are different from imitations. These wholesale handbags do not wrongfully use designer brands. Instead, the designs or the style of the designer handbag is duplicated so that the user can still enjoy the fashion at the same time meet its function. A duplicated handbag is an inspiration of the idea of the designer and improves it for the wholesaler's handbags.

In other words, imitations and inspirations are two different things. The former can embarrass the owner of the handbag because of using non-authentic designer handbags. On the other hand, the latter simply duplicated the design even if no brand is tagged on the product. In essence, it is better to own wholesale designer inspired handbags as these are possibly made with the same quality and style of the signature handbags than owning a handbag with a fake brand.

The online store of HuaFu sells wholesale designer inspired handbags. Their handbags are much cheaper than signature handbags. They have designs that look like branded products but do not carry any of the signature brands. HuaFu simply designed their wholesale handbags similar to the signature handbags. With the designer inspired handbags, women can now enjoy the style and function of the signature handbags even if it does not necessarily have the high profile brand name. Similarity of design, its functionality, and its affordability must be enough reason to buy wholesale handbags in HuaFu.

These days, it is not really important to own signature handbags especially if it is not needed. People have to be practical in their choice as this is the time to save for the rainy days. People need to save on items and this includes saving on handbags. If it is just about the design that matters, women would rather buy wholesale designer inspired handbags. In this way, they will still get a designer item but pay a lower price. Now isn't this a practical way of owning signature handbags?
