Arianna Huffington: With my younger daughter away at Coachella, I was looking forward to a quiet night in, curled up in bed with a few dozen pieces on the financial crisis I'd cut out from newspapers and magazines (yes, I still read them). But instead of reading a few and nodding off to sleep, I ended up staying up most of the night, getting more and more outraged with each article I read. These days, the business section is not for the faint of heart. So, as a public service (I toss and turn all night, so you don't have to) -- and also to make sure you haven't succumbed to outrage fatigue -- I've decided to distill some of the more infuriating lowlights from the last week. Warning: If you are reading this after 10 p.m., you might want to hold off until morning. Click here to read more.

Gavin Newsom: It's Official...I am Running for Governor of California

In San Francisco, we're showing what can be accomplished when we stop looking back and start looking for solutions. We can't keep returning to the same old, tired ideas and expect a different result.

Ron Howard: Angels & Demons: It's A Thriller, Not A Crusade

William Donohue of the Catholic League is on a mission, and the goal of his mission is clear: to paint me and the movie I directed, Angels & Demons, as anti-Catholic.

Rep. Jan Schakowsky: Refuting the Self-Fulfilling Torture Prophecy: A Response to Hayden and Mukasey

Not torturing prisoners is one of our nation's proudest traditions, one of the features that define us. Yet, the men who served as CIA Director and Attorney General still believe in these techniques.

Alan Khazei: A New Patriotism

Today, President Obama will sign the Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act, the largest expansion of civilian service since the Depression Era Civilian Conservation Corps.

Arthur Agatston, M.D.: What Do United Airlines, Obesity, and Preventive Medicine Have in Common?

We need to support, not discriminate against, the obese in this country and we need to urge our government to provide the incentives to stop this health crisis in its tracks.
